Position Description
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Talent Acquisition Specialist with the development and executing of effective recruiting strategies to attract, source, screen, recruit, and select high quality candidates. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator must ensure accurate, timely, and effective execution of all phases of the staffing process. This includes ensuring satisfaction of hiring managers and other key stakeholders by providing responsive, professional service and support in recruiting functions.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Assist with design and implement the overall recruiting strategy which meets the daily and strategic needs of the business
- Assist with the Building and maintaining applicant sources nationally for positions ranging from field crews up to, and including corporate office positions by proactively researching and contacting community services, government agencies, colleges/universities, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites
- Assist with marketing Omaha Track as an employer of choice by providing organizational details including an overview of our business, career opportunities, employee benefits, etc.
- In partnership the Talent Acquisition Specialist and leadership, cultivate and maintain a collaborative, fun and results oriented culture to drive retention and engagement of top talent
- Assist with managing a requisition load averaging 30-40 openings with the majority being field crew and facility operations
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and hiring managers to suggest and create effective job requisitions and interview plans/guides to ensure the needs of the open position are met
- Assist with job postings at all appropriate locations and proactively sourcing candidates by using available databases, social media, network connections, etc.
- Screen candidates resumes/applications and determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, reviewing pre-employment testing results, analyzing responses/results, and comparing qualification to job requirements
- Present the best talent to our hiring managers for consideration in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Extend job offers and guide candidates through the recruiting process, which includes conducting all required pre-employment screening, as well as I-9 verification; coordinate new hire training requirements and scheduling with the hiring manager and other appropriate individuals
- Maintain an effective on-boarding & orientation program during new hire week, ensuring new employees feel welcomed
- Assist with weekly staffing reports outlining all recruiting activity to key stakeholders
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements specific to recruiting and new hire onboarding
- Maintain accurate documentation for all necessary recruiting related activities
- Keep current knowledge of effective recruiting trends/strategies and applicable aspects of employment law
- Assist with the facilitation of the Employer Funded Quarterly CDL Training Program
- Work with Hiring managers to ensure Job Descriptions are accurate and up to date
- Create or update Recruiting, HRIS Standard Operating Procedures as needed
- Back up the Human Resource Coordinator when needed with the HR Service Center emails and phone calls
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred; PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
- 2 – 5 years of experience with full cycle recruiting including success in developing effective recruiting strategies
- Experience in effectively sourcing for hard-to-fill positions or positions with a unique skill set at a national level
- Strong planning and organizational skills including demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Outstanding customer service coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to think critically/problem-solve, take initiative, and prioritize tasks appropriately

- Ability to effectively work in a team environment while still completing independent work tasks/assignments
- Strong aptitude with technology including proficiency or the ability to become proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SyncHR (our HRIS), and recruiting tools/websites available online (such as Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30lbs
- Ability to meet all functional requirements including, but not limited to sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, bending, squatting, finger dexterity, and reaching above/below shoulders
Special Position Requirements
- This position requires travel up to 10% of the time primarily for recruiting events and relationship building
